Good bright red. Raspberry and peppery herbs on the nose; Clavelier frequently describes this cuvee as virile. Less supple than the Combe Brulee and a bit youthfully imploded today, but boasts excellent balance and force to its sweet raspberry and pepper flavors. Finishes with a distinct chalky firmness.
